Balance.

Balance.
Some days I'm above and beyond motivated to get things done, do all the things, workout and eat clean + healthy.  But, I also have some days where I sleep in, snuggle under blankets all day, binge watch movies, and want to eat Ramen, chips or ice cream. Lol.  And if I were to categorize myself within either two of these "labels," well... I would say, "Just find balance, Vic. And give yourself grace."  Though I would love to say that I'm "all about fitness," I find myself drawn moreso towards being "all about wellness."

Wellness is "the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal" (thank you, online dictionary haha). Wellness is about mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and overall health (from the inside out).  I am SO passionate about learning, educating, encouraging, sharing and helping others become better versions of themselves.  There is so much we can accomplish when we shift our mindsets, when we trust in the Lord, when we work hard and be consistent with our goals, our dreams, our passions, our vision for the future.  "Consistency is what takes something you do one day and turns it into a lifestyle. -Lalah Delia"

So, couch potato or fitness friend?
I would say, "Just find balance. Give yourself grace. Set your goals. Trust in the Lord. Work hard. Be consistent."

I AM A CHILD OF GOD

No longer bound by chains.
No longer bound by fear.
I am a child of God.

I lived a life where I strived for perfection, worked hard to be liked by everyone, compared myself to others, set up expectations SO high, that when I didn't reach them I felt utterly defeated.  And let me tell yah, it is so stressful and so exhausting to live like that.  The Lord broke me and showed me that I was (and am) enough. That He created me with beauty, with purpose, and in His Likeness and Image. An imperfect mortal chosen by a perfect God to serve, obey, love, defend, and build HIS kingdom.

God has revealed over and over to me that FEAR IS A LIAR, death is defeated, and He is Alive! We have a God that has overcome this world and reigns VICTORIOUS! We do not have to hold onto the burden of Satan's lies, of our past wrongdoings, of doubt, uncertainty, meeting the expectations of man, and of fear.  God is good, and He gave His one and ONLY Son for US.  We are made whole and complete through Christ.

HE IS:
way maker,
miracle worker,
promise keeper,
light in the darkness.
MY GOD - that is who HE IS.
My living HOPE.

No longer bound by chains.
No longer bound by fear.
I am a child of God.

Ten Years from Now...

Taking a moment to vision and plan out our future.  Of course, tomorrow is never promised, and what we may have planned may not be what the Lord has planned for our future, but we trust that what the Lord has prepared for us is far grandeur than what we could ever fathom.  There is peace in knowing that God is in control.  There is assurance in knowing that God is all knowing and all powerful, and He will make a way when there seems to be no way.

Over the course of these past few weeks, I have been learning so much about positive affirmations and speaking truth + life over our lives.  Our words hold so much meaning.  The words we say to others and the words we say to ourselves can make or break us.  A few weeks ago, I came across a post that shared about speaking aloud your "dreams" or your goals for your future, and speaking them in present tense.  So, that is what I am doing today! Dreaming big, lifting them up to the Lord, believing in them, and trusting in HIS PLANS for our future.

1. I am a stay at home mom, raising my kiddos to love the Lord, strive for more, embrace adventure, and to be humble, obedient, and kind.
2. We are financially free!
3. I run a small business sharing my heart for wellness and serving others.
4. We live in a cute little 4 bedroom ranch styled farmhouse with a wrapped around porch and lots of land.
5. I run a blog where I share about motherhood, life, and what the Lord has been revealing and teaching me.
6. We are able to serve, share, provide, shop or host without worry of expenses or time!
7. I run a small shop where I sell handmade goods (t-shirts, graphics, resources)
8. Homeschool our kiddos. Chu working from home too (can yah tell we're such homebodies? Lol.)
9. Traveling the world: Australia, Hawaii, Cancun, Paris, Greece, Jerusalem
10. Living a life where less is more. May God alone receive the G L O R Y.

Dream it. Lift them up to the Lord. Believe it. Trust in His ways.

My Beloved.

My best friend.
My better half.
(My baby daddy. hehe.)

So many beautiful things I could say about my beloved husband.
From the way his eyes smile when he laughs, to his soft spoken voice when he shares what's on his mind.

My best friend.
My better half.

He stays up late just in case baby girl wakes up, so I can sleep.
He cooks me gourmet meals (because he's the master chef hehe).
He always puts me first and thinks of me.
He buys me little gifts (my love language) to surprise me (ice cream, avocados, my favorite flavor of ___, flowers, etc.).
He shows me how patience and grace looks like every day.
He knows how to make me laugh.
He holds my hands when I am nervous.
He hugs me when I am feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious.
He helps me with the household without ever asking him to: washing dishes, doing laundry, cleaning, sweeping, taking out the trash, etc.
He is the calm, when I'm the storm.
He is slow to anger, and speaks with confidence and politeness.

My best friend.
My better half.

I cannot believe that in another short month, we will be celebrating 4 years of marriage. My, has time flown by, and my how beautiful it has been being married to my sweet sweet husband.

My best friend.
My better half.

(love yah, my chu baby)

Spring Cleaning 2020

Spring cleaning has officially begun at the Vue residence!  Being home has given me so much time to clean, declutter, minimalize, and to really allow me to KEEP. THINGS. SIMPLE.  I love having a clean space + being able to narrow down to the things in our home that sparks joy, provides purpose, and holds meaning, has my mama heart SO happy. Alongside Spring Cleaning, I created our family a little cleaning schedule also. We have put it into play this week and I am LOVING IT!

Cleaning Tips:
1. Start off small: Start off by choosing one room of your home to work with first. Then within that room, target one area at a time to clean/declutter.
2. Make Piles: While going through your items, place them into FOUR separate piles -- "Keep, Maybe, Give Away, Throw Away."  Go through each item and really evaluate if the item sparks joy or provides purpose for your home.
3. Thieves Household Cleaner: One cleaner to clean our counters, floors, bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and so much more. Cost effective, smells like Christmas, plant-based, toxin-free, safe for children + pets, AND gets.the.job.DONE!
4. Set a timer: I have found that when I set a time (10-15 minutes) I am able to get more done! Try it out. Let me know what you think and if it helped you clean faster and more effectively.
5. Find a routine: I totally understand that many of us have busy schedules and cleaning on the daily can be hard! Trust me, we have dedicated some days JUST for cleaning or to catch up with cleaning. However, I have found that when we schedule out specific time or specific things to clean each day, there isn't as much of a build up to clean in the long run!
