Summer Loving
It’s Saturday morning.  Lately, I have the tendency to wake up early every single morning. Naturally. No alarms, no interruptions to my slumber, and no true intentions for waking up so early. 6:30am-7:30am.  Every day.  While many people would call that torture, I like to think of it as grace.  God provides us with so much.  And while we, humanity, naturally complain and are not truly satisfied a lot of times, we should be waking up every morning with the mentality of thanksgiving because we are alive and free through the blood and redemption of Jesus Christ.  I have come to be truly thankful for earlier mornings.  They give me more clarity in my life.  They give me the chance to plan, reflect and think through my thoughts, behaviors, actions and motives in life.  They provide more time for me to be proactive and productive.  They enable me to have more time to spend with sweet Jesus and His words.  Though I do love my sleep, and being able to sleep in, I’ve learned to appreciate God’s grace in waking me up early and spending more time with Him.  It’s time for me to focus on the positives in life, and stop worrying about the “what-if,” possibilities, and negativity that “could” happen.  There is always a positive to a negative, it all depends on the angle of how you look at it.

With all that said… Summer is now merely a balloon being released into the abyss-sky; in the distance where you can still see it but it’s nowhere near your reach and soon will be too far to see.  Haha.  On a happier note, SENIOR year of my college career will begin in T-minus 2 days!  I am beyond excited for this next year.  I feel that it will be rigorous, tedious and a lot of commitment, but I am hopeful in the outcome.  May my fears, stress, tears and doubts be given to my Almighty God.

A FEW THINGS

BookA Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers

Y’all, I cannot express how hooked I was to this book! I started and finished this book all in one day. ONE DAY. How crazy! It is a MUST read.  Sadly, A Voice in the Wind is the first book to the Mark of the Lion series and I have not had the time to get my hands on the next books in the series.  But, I do most HIGHLY recommend this good read and cannot wait to get a hold of the next books in the series.

Recipe:

Guys. I have to share. Recently, my sweet Chu baby and I made some DELICIOUS from-scratch red velvet cheesecake brownies.  They were soooooo yummy. Definitely going to incorporate these sweethearts more into my baking. Here's the recipe we used:

Weddings:

There is just something about weddings that I adore so much.  All my life I have always enjoyed attending and watching weddings.  Weddings are so breathtaking, precious and truly a pure and joy moment for me.  This summer consisted of many of those moments.  Just wanted to share this one in particular:

So PRECIOUSSSS! My heart is so full.

May your day be merry and bright! Happy weekend, y'all!
