My VEGAN story. On June 6th, year 2017, I made one of
the most wonderful decisions of my life. I made the decision to cold-cut
restart my entire relationship with food and to truly transform it as a way to
fuel and enlighten my body, restoring my body with strength and energy to
pursue my passions and to be able to fully serve the Lord WHOLE-heartedly.
Ever since I began this journey of eating a plant-based diet, I have
found myself, one, engorging more but having pure joy instead of conviction
because I know the food I am putting into my body can be used for work and
energy, and two, being filled with pure bliss and contentment. I began
this journey with building a future family in mind. I sat down to think
about the cores and values I wanted to instill in the lives of my children.
I thought about the way I wanted to raise my children: how to act, what to
say, what to eat, etc. And it came to my heart, that I never want my kids
to live a life full of guilt because of what they ate or to live a life of insecurities
and comparison because of the discontentment they had about their bodies.
I want my kids to know the value of "good" food, the crop of
hard labor and who the Maker of it all is. Here's to embracing a more
holistic lifestyle. Here's to the start of my vegan life.
